I don’t want a posthumous love

Let's live,
Let's live our lives
Let's live our lives right now
Let's live

We'd fly,
Close our eyes and deeply breathe
Out our wings, we'd spread
And watch where the wind takes us

Let's take risks,
Leave our doors unlocked to sleep
Dive into a pool that's deep
Close our eyes as we drive through the wind
Let's risk it.

We'd be happy,
Joy happens when we least intend
Life happens even in the dark days
Let's be happy.

Let's do it all,
Damn the consequences
Break the chains of society's curse
Loop their timeline to a point we're enchanted
Hold our hands and run the wheel of affection
Cheat destiny with our overwhelming love
Complete our bucket list, make yet another
Let's do it all.

You may be terrified
Uncertain if this madman speaks reality
You may not understand
His words though sweet, are short of logic
You have doubts,
Who is he to guarantee
A tomorrow he's never lived.

But listen,

Two poor men once sat on the beach
One claimed the sea is loving
And if they swam her shores
She'd give them great riches.

The other yelled 'insanity'
Asking if he'd seen it before,
A sea giving gold to any man.
So, in disagreement, they battled.

But neither the madman
Nor the logical coward,
Ever swam the loving sea
Despite the many gold that lined its shores.
For these men were afraid.
Not of the sea, but of being disappointed.
To them, the world was watching.

Yet, one thing they didn't realise
Was the proportion of risk the best rewards always carried.
For the bigger the promise, the bigger you'd risk.

Be it a snailing crawl
Or a cheetah's stride
Jump or fly
In a blinking moment,
Our lives will come and go.

Let's live.
Let's do it all.
